Platypuses or Platypi

Many exciting things happened today, but I will always remember taking some quiet time to watch a platypus swim around the pond that is behind the cabins we are staying in tonight and tomorrow night.

Other than making friends with a mammal that lays eggs, we ventured to Lake Pedder for some mid-day lectures about forestry and hydro-electric power in Tasmania. We stopped at a couple of amazing lookouts and a cave with the “river from nowhere” (because the water dissolves the limestone and travels underground to this cave where the river begins again).
