Birthday Weekend Extravaganza!

My friends wanted my birthday to start early so they could go out with me from my birthday. I chose Buffalo Wild Wings for my birthday treat! Also as an added bonus, Thursdays are deemed “Boneless Thursdays” as BWs and so its cheaper : ). We had a great time and I was so glad my friends were there with me! What a great reminder of how loved I am!

Before I woke up Friday, my friends came and decorated my door. Normally I would hate this, but they did such a good job that I loved it! The decorations have now been relocated to above my desk where they can stay until they fall or I move out. : )

Friday was a great day! I only went to one of my classes, and during class I answered an easy question that another student had. My teacher said “that’s why I like you. You’re very smart!” It was great and then the whole classes wanted to know if that meant he didn’t like the rest of them, which turned into a hilarious conversation about why our class is great!

My drive home was extremely easy and I made it in record time without going any faster than normal. It was great. When I got home, Maggie and I hung out before I went to my hair appointment to donate my hair! It turned out great and I am really glad that I got to donate my hair to a great cause. It definitely made it worth cutting all my hair off. Here is the before and after:

For my birthday dinner at home I requested steak and potatoes. Yum! We also had brownies with frosting for my “cake” with peppermint ice cream! Double yum!!!

Saturday was also an amazing day! In the morning, Laura, Maggie, and I went to the Young House Love Book Signing! What a great time! I am so glad we got to go!!!

When we got home from Young House Love, mom wanted us to throw Maggie’s old carpet out of the window to make room for the new one. This is just a process of getting it out of the window and then shoving it as far from the house as it will go.

After throwing the rug out of the window, Maggie and I headed to our dad’s for dinner there. We had chinese take-out! What a classic! They had gotten me cake and candles for my 20th birthday.

Saturday night ended at the bar where my uncle’s band was playing. A lot of family was there and it was great to see everyone. It was like a great preview for Thanksgiving, my favorite holiday!

On Sunday I went to church at Harvest and saw some awesome people! We went out to lunch with Dan and Eden at Eggperience which was delish! Eden is crazy adorable and it was so great to see her (even if she did think I was Maggie at first because of my short hair). After Eden, I had a coffee date with an old youth leader. It is always great to catch up with people you like. After the coffee date, the weather got bad and I decided not to drive back to school until the morning when the weather was better. This meant that I got an unexpected extra night with my family. Maggie tried to make me a skirt (which is awesome) but her needle broke before she could finish. : (

Another blessing was all the great people who loved on me by giving me things. My suite mate, Hana, knitted me an awesome infinity scarf. My other suite mate, Chelsey, got me a purple long necklace. My roommate gave me 2 CDs for my car. Laura got me a print of Snape saying “always.” My dad and step-mom gave me Ellen Degeneres’ new book and some money for a new lens. Lots of family members gave me money (also going towards my new lens). My mom got my a purple beanie. And Maggie got me an anchor hook and is making me a skirt! I am so blessed! Thank you all so much!

See how nicely my Snape print goes with my photography girl print that Maggie gave me last year?
